SUGAR

Defining art as a critical expression, this work consists of two pieces born from the responsibility to expose an important issue that affects many of us: the invisible danger of sugar. Inviting reflection and raising awareness about our eating habits.

INVISIBLE ENEMY

We fear war, we fear poverty, we fear terrorism, hunger or even love. But who's afraid of sugar?

Our food intake is transforming our bodies and affecting our quality of life. Talking specifically about refined sugar. The sweet temptation behind our meals, together with fat, salt, and additives can be responsible for 6 out of 10 chronic diseases. Most of the time we consume it unconsciously in processed foods.

Invisible Enemy is an exploration of sugar

SWEET ENDING

Sugar surrounds us, seduces us and cheats us. It modifies our taste and is hidden in many more products than we imagine. Through its presence and the addiction it generates, we end up consuming it almost three times more than we should. Although the problem is not only that we do not know what our food contains, but that being able to have a healthy diet has become a luxury that not all of us can afford. More than half of the deaths caused by a bad diet, occur in low-class communities and households. Meanwhile, obesity is increasing around the world.

This piece seeks to raise awareness about the invisible dangers we face. Expose what is happening in our environment and open an internal dialogue.

Each decision is a vote, our food choices are responsible for the demand that dictates food supply.
